For those of you that are looking for something truly special in your bedroom furnitire, you have come to the right place. It can be a very new but enjoyable experience to have a custom made bed built specially for you. Because we get so many questions about it we thought we would clarify how it goes.

Step 1 -Gathering the Bed Design

Our first step is to talk to our clients and ask what they want and need in a bed. We take in as much information as they can about the client’s requirements, as well as provide suggestions to clients who do not quite know what they want. We cover everything from the shape, materials, color, type of wood used and of course size of the bed. As different clients have different wants and needs, we take the time to sit down with our clients to ensure we can provide them with the bed that fulfills all of their needs while considering available budgets.

Step 2 - Providing Custom bed designs

Once the client has provided all the details, we will put together some custom bed designs for the client to review. We will present either handmade drawings or a computer graphics which can more create a model of the bed that is as close to the real thing but only in a smaller level. With the drawing, the clients are shown the exact materials so that they will have a solid idea of what their customized bed will look and feel like. In certain circumstances we may also make a mock up of the bed which represents the final design in miniature form. If needed we can also make a visit to your home to make sure we can blend our bed with your existing bedroom furniture. If necessary we can also recommend or supply Bespoke Mattresses, Headboards and Bedding.

Step 3 - Terms and conditions

The terms and conditions of commissioning a bed are presented to clients and they are required to give a deposit once the design is clear. The deposit will depend on how big the project is, but clients can pay in installments or split the payment as the project is finished.

Step 4 -Manufacturing the bed

All of the beds we provide are handmade in the UK. We take great care and implement immense precision during the manufacture process. Using only the best woods, we manage the construction of the bed in stages at our workshop in Newhaven, East Sussex. The bed is assembled in parts and we will keep the client updated on the progress of the construction as requested. We can even send photos of the bed being manufactured. All of our beds are designed and built to be assembled in minutes so all of the beds can be picked up or alternatively we will arrange a target date and a delivery time.

They make sure that everything is perfect and polished. The goal is to have the client say that everything has been delivered and finished perfectly. After everything is done and the clients are happy, they then ask for the final payment.

Step 6 - Sleep Peacefully and truly enjoy your investment in Luxury and quality

After installation you will truly appreciate the investment that you have made in having first class bespoke bedroom furniture made for you. The bed will be one of a kind never existing any where else in the world!

Interviewer: Can Tell me a little bit a out Bespoke Beds that you design?

 bespoke bed design process

Alvaro: Okay. The designs are made by me, but the designs are a reflection of what the client wishes and what the clients request. So, it is a collaboration between the ideas and the wishes that the client has and my experience and my opinions and suggestions that I bring into it. Some clients might have an idea about having a very contemporary bed, but don't know which materials to use. Some other clients want certain materials and don't know so much about the designs, so I try to bring everything together, to listen to all the information that the client gives me, to ask as many questions as possible, and find out… really to make the design that they think is their idea… the client's idea is reflected in it. And… that's about design or the design process, one part of it.
